Manager, Sales Development (for Media Sports and Entertainment)

At Talkwalker, our Sales team is responsible to attract, nurture and close business opportunities generated from both inbound, outbound and partner activities. They are responsible to connect with prospective clients to introduce them to Talkwalker and demonstrate the value of our analytics platform throughout the Marketing, Communications and Insights departments.

Organizations within this sector need to listen and learn from the millions of conversations happening daily so that they can make critical decisions in order to drive their business forward.

By leveraging AI across media, customer, consumer, and market data; coupled with a proven standard methodology for measurement, customers can extract insights that are impactful for their business and take the necessary action to affect the outcomes they seek.

As a key member of the Media, Sports & Entertainment team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead a team of Sales Development Representatives to maximize their potential, optimize their skills, and over-achieve their quota
  • Inspire and coach your team in effectively working with the Media, Sports and Entertainment Account Executives and Sales Directors to create account plans, research target prospects and individuals, engage CRO’s, CMO’s, CTO’s, and other stakeholders of various lines of business, and secure meetings which will open the door for new sales opportunities
  • Utilize all the tools and resources available such that each SDR can meet the demands of the job and over-achieve their personal goals
  • Take a personal interest in developing creative and inspiring initiatives that will set positive examples across the rest of the SDR organization
  • Report to the Global Vice President of Media, Sports and Entertainment and help coordinate Global business development to optimize learnings and successful best practices from and throughout other theatres
  • Seek out new sales leads and business opportunities through active networking, collaborating with our ecosystem partners, utilizing business referrals, attending local and regional networking, tradeshow events and conferences.
  • Develop and enhance processes that will support the scaling of the business
  • Maintain accurate, timely records in Salesforce.
  • Consistently and accurately represent your pipeline, forecast and activity while meeting and exceeding your monthly, quarterly and annual targets.
  • Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree
  • 3-5+ years of software sales experience working across various stages of the sales engagement process
  • Proven leader who has led inside sales and/or business development teams for 2-3 years reporting to a global management team who has a track record of consistently meeting and exceeding quota
  • Strong business acumen (preferably from the industry but not limited to), extensive SFDC knowledge, good communication skills, and an energy to help the team overcome obstacles and drive success
  • An intellectual curiosity and a desire for excellence that requires continuous learning and a desire to promote the same amongst your team
