We are looking for a Senior Financial Controller to further strengthen our Finance department and contribute to our company success story. The job is based in central Luxembourg.

For this position, you need to be a confident all-round person who takes initiative and challenges status quo. As our Senior Financial Controller you will directly report to the CFO, this is a highly varied and challenging role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain up-to-date Group accounting policies that are accessible to all employees within the Group
  • Contribute to designing and maintaining internal control over financial reporting processes
  • Supervise the quality of the financials provided by the accounting team
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the Accounting team and manage the implementation of new accounting standards
  • Ensure appropriate documentation in support of significant matters of judgement, draft accounting memos
  • Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems & closing process
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, legislation, corporate calendar
  • Be the main point of contact for our consultants helping us on various accounting topics (purchase price allocation, US GAAP conversion, valuation topics… etc)
  • Be in charge of audit preparation and be the main point of contact for external auditors
  • Manage the audit process for the entire group and ensure timely completion of the audit
  • Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and queries
  • Qualifications:

  • Prior audit experience is a must, as well as experience with Lux Gaap and US Gaap
  • Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field
  • +5 years of experience in international finance/accounting team or Fiduciary, ideally in consolidation and group reporting
  • Outstanding mathematical skills and ability to summarize key points
  • Honesty, integrity, reliability, team player, flexibility, independent, highly organized
  • "roll-up-your-sleeves" attitude, the intellect to analyze complex issues and recommend solutions
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • IT literate with a good understanding of business systems (prior experience with NetSuite Oracle, or BOB Sage is a plus)
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills in English. French/German are a plus
