Credit & Collections Specialist

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain, Reconcile, and resolve Accounts Receivable assignment (considering complexity of diverse market conditions and methods of business for each different geographical customer location);
  • Respond to customer inquiries and take appropriate actions;
  • Resolve disputes in respect of Invoices / Statements sent to customers;
  • Manage complex reconciliation of variances in payment deductions and credits issued;
  • Escalation matters appropriately with Customers and within the Wiley Organization to resolve delinquent issues;
  • Recommend write-offs and 3rd party collection agency referrals;
  • Maintain the integrity of Credit & Collections Master Data;
  • Prepare reports as required accurately and within deadlines;
  • Screen new clients to assess the credit risk;
  • Handle bookkeeping of AR and payment receipts;
  • Manage the reminder process;
  • Liaise with our account managers to control the customer access to the service;
  • Propose and manage bad debt provisions to management.
  • Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years experience managing AR for complex key relationship accounts in a Business to Business environment;
  • Strong knowledge in Netsuite Accounts Receivables is a plus;
  • High proficiency with MS Excel required;
  • Fluency in English and French, Spanish is a plus;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
