Manager, Deal Desk Operations

US (West Coast) - Operations

Talkwalker is a powerful engine, which runs on the “finest oil” called The Operations team. Team Operations serves as an enabler between departments and services to keep Talkwalker’ processes running as efficiently as possible.

At Talkwalker, we are looking for a Manager, Deal Desk Operations to join our fast paced and impactful team. The Manager, Deal Desk Operations is the strategic advisor to Talkwalkers Sales team, managing the Order to Cash (O2C) and facilitating the complex deal structures and requests that our clients demand.  The Manager, Deal Desk will be an expert in our policies, processes, and systems.  They will advise, coach, and train Sales Reps on a day-to-day basis to efficiently work with sales processes and policies.  This position will also be responsible for hiring and training a global team of Deal Desk
Strategists as Talkwalker looks to scale internationally. This position will report into the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop corporate policies and approval matrices to ensure Sales consistently deliver contracts to our customers that meet company guidelines.
  • Consult with Sales teams on individual transactions, helping to structure deals and process orders expediently.
  • Educate Sales teams on how to effectively structure deals, changes in processes, policies, and best practices to improve performance and release Sales capacity to core Sales activities.   
  • Serve as the trusted advisor and go-to resources to the Sales teams for solving complex problems across O2C processes.
  • Serve as an expert in advanced Deal Desk activities, which impact quota setting, bookings attainment, and complex deal structuring. 
  • Lead ongoing and month end audit and quality activities.  
  • Lead projects with cross-functional teams in support of Sales, in the rollout of new products and policies, and in the improvement of our O2C processes. 
  • Work in a dynamic environment and adapt to new business processes on a week-to-week basis.
  • Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of deal desk or order management operations and strategy experience (strategy consulting, business operations, Enterprise SaaS experience a plus)
  • Strong analytical skills and discernment. Ability and passion to analyze, set priorities, and tackle sophisticated business problems
  • Effective, clear, and concise communication skills, verbal and written. Propensity to synthesize sophisticated concepts and data and present clear information to executives, cross-functional teams, and internal customers
  • Data specialist: Analysis (Excel), summarizing (pivot tables, charts, slides, written explanation), reporting (dashboards, repositories)
  • Proficient in BI and sales tools (Salesforce, Tableau)
  • Self-starter driven by results with the ability to multitask. Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment with a “can do” demeanor and growth mentality.
  • Enjoys organization and process improvement with an eye for detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while dealing with ambiguity
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influence skills. Experience driving cross-functional projects end-to-end. Ability to negotiate priorities across organizations at all levels
